Catalyst Management Services in India: Empowerment Evaluation Seminar
Empowerment Evaluation in India: Catalyst Management Services
Catalyst Management Services group in India is continuing to build its empowerment evaluation capacity. The group is a learning facilitator configured to co-learn and help shape outcomes for partners in the social impact space. They seek to promote the health and wealth of vulnerable communities. They invited me to speak about empowerment evaluation. We discussed our work using empowerment evaluation in an effort to reduce or eliminate tuberculosis in India. The theory, basic steps, and case examples were presented, followed by an engaging Q&A session. Critical insights were highlighted as we compared empowerment evaluation with traditional approaches, including Who is doing the evaluation? Whose dialogue or exchange is taking place? We also explored issues such as the role of stakeholder engagement and funder perspectives. Contact Sandip Pattanayak for additional details. The engagement was recorded and is available to the public. (Recording available here.)
