Transformative Empowerment Evaluation Illustrated and Translated into Portuguese

Transformative Empowerment Evaluation and Freirean Pedagogy: Alignment With an Emancipatory Tradition" (written by David Fetterman). Originally found in Pedagogy of Evaluation edited by Michael Patton in New Directions for Evaluation (No. 155, Fall 2017).

Empowerment evaluation and Freirean pedagogy share a common emancipatory tradition. These approaches help people learn to confront the status quo, by questioning assumptions and prescribed roles, unpacking the "truth" about how things are or can be. They help people think critically about the world around them.

This is a beautifully illustrated manuscript. It has also been translated into Portuguese. It is available online. Enjoy!
