Indigenous Youth Leadership and Empowerment Evaluation: Learning to Lead by Sharing Responsibility. David Fetterman II (Yurok) was invited to speak at the American Indian Science and Engineering Society in Tulsa, Oklahoma. David is 16 years old. He spoke about bridging the digital divide in indigenous communities, the 3 steps of empowerment evaluation, decolonization, and data.

He also applied the community-based evaluation approach to the individual level. The talk was well received. He was invited to speak in a school classroom and encouraged to facilitate an empowerment evaluation workshop next year by participants in the session.
